Morgan Daly is a Double Bassist originally from Massapequa, New York but is now an active performer and educator in the DC Metropolitan area. She has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as many other noteworthy auditoriums. She often performs with the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Symphony, Richmond Symphony, and many other regional orchestras. Morgan received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from The Juilliard School, studying with Eugene Levinson, as well as a Master's degree in Music Performance at the University of Maryland studying with Robert Oppelt. As a Graduate Assistant at UMD, Morgan coached undergraduate level chamber groups as well as taught private bass lessons. She was a finalist in the UMD Open Concerto Competition, the first bassist to do so in numerous years. Most recently, she accepted positions as Adjunct Faculty of Double Bass at Towson University and Montgomery College. Other teaching engagements include having a private studio as well as being an adjunct faculty member at various performing arts high schools in Maryland.  She continues to perform in various ensembles throughout DC.

Morgan attended the Zodiac Music Festival in  2015, 2016, and 2018  where she has given chamber concerts with the Zodiac Trio in multiple venues across the South of France. In the summer of 2016, she participated in the Moritzburg Festival Academy in Dresden, Germany where she performed orchestral as well as chamber works. In 2015, she was a staff member at the New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Orchestral Studies, where she coached chamber music and seminars to High School Students while working side by side with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She was granted a full scholarship to participate in the Music Academy International Summer Festival in Siena, Italy during the summer of 2013. Morgan graduated from the Juilliard Pre-College Program in 2012 after spending three years in the program and receiving an award and scholarship at graduation for being a top-performing student. She has taught at the Music Advanced Placement Program at The Juilliard School as a chamber coach and private instructor. Besides teaching and performing, Morgan also works behind the scenes as an Education Programs Manager for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Director of Development for the Zodiac Music Academy and Festival. She has had numerous internships at places like The Kennedy Center, Joe's Movement Emporium, and Strathmore Hall.
